Terrelle Pryor: Bad Gamble

Terrelle Pryor's nightmare of an off season finally ended. And it ended just the way he wanted. In the NFL and most likely rich, well temporarily anyway. Pryor was picked in the 3rd round of the NFL Supplemental Draft by the Raiders on Monday. Al Davis is a sucker for speed and size so he took the gamble on the 6-foot-5, 235 pound ex-Buckeye quarterback. The experts say it was a low risk pick for the Raiders as he has the physical tools to play wide receiver or tight end also.

HEY! Haven't you so called experts watched any of Pryor's mostly pathetic college career? Well, let me give you a quick refresher. He was one of the top players coming out of high school. Championship expectations were constantly heaped on him and he continually proved he couldn't handle the spotlight. Oh, the Buckeyes won games, often despite Pryor's play. His three seasons of playing at the Horseshoe will mostly be forgotten due to his poor decisions off the field leading to the resignation of Jim Tressel.

Time to grab the Android powered phone and start up the Magic 8 Ball app. The future of Terrelle Pryor has been revealed and it's mostly cloudy. He's more like a Maurice Clarette than a Troy Smith, and neither accomplished much in the NFL. He's immature and will squander his riches. And let's not forget the intoxicated assault or the strip bar fight that is destined to occur. Pryor's journey will take him full cycle and it ends with him working at a Columbus, OH car dealership. Possibly as a top sales consultant but I'm putting my money on a position that he's more qualified for... detailing department.
